Hertha BSC Berlin, founded in 1892, is a German association soccer club based in Berlin. It is also a founding member of the German Football Association in Leipzig in 1900. It plays in Bundesliga. The club won the German championship in 1930 and 1931. In 2011-12 season, the club was degraded to 2. Bundesliga. In 2012-13 season, the club finished at the top of the scoreboard and got promoted to Bundesliga. Since 1963, the club’s home stadium has been Berlin Olympiastadion which can take more than 77 thousand people and it is also the stadium for annual German Cup finals. The stadium is the second largest stadium in Germany, next to Borussia Dortmund's Westfalen stadion. The stadium was built for 1936 summer Olympic Games and got expanded in 2004 because Germany hosted the World Cup games in 2006.
